Craftsmanship
DESIGN: We specialize in custom cabinets specially designed to fit your needs featuring raised panel wood cabinet doors and solid hardwood profiled drawer fronts. Our cabinet doors are a solid 3/4" thick.
WOOD SPECIES: Our custom cabinets are available in various wood species, including Red Oak, Hard Maple, Cherry, Soft Maple (our Paint Grade), Hickory, White Birch, Red Birch, White Ash, White Oak, Knotty Pine, Clear Pine, Walnut, Mahogany, Hemlock (Quarter Sawn), and Alder. Others are available upon request.
FINISH OPTIONS: The Loft Woodworks now offers to finish your cabinet doors and drawer fronts to your specifications. We use high solids, moisture resistant lacquer, varnish, or polyurethane to create the excellent quality furniture grade finish you expect in your custom grade cabinetry. We also offer veneers, plywood, mouldings, and stain to match.
QUALITY: Our custom wood grade is a step above our competition. We allow less natural defects to appear in the wood, giving you a quality advantage.
WORKMANSHIP: All of our doors are polish sanded to 180 grit removing the cross grain. The competition charges you more for this, we do it as a service, saving you time and money. All interior and exterior profiles are sanded to 150 grit.
TECHNOLOGY: Our panels are completely free floating. Panels are surrounded by 1/4" rubber expansion balls (8-10 per door), which allow for expansion and contraction. This process also centers the panel perfectly as well as eliminating the potential of a rattle.
"THE EXTRA STEP": On many of our profiles, the back outside edge is eased giving you a smoother feel and reducing damage to sharp corners.
